As the University continues to develop the Aquinas AI pilot project, an internal AI platform for the university, we want to provide as much transparency as possible into how data is retained in the tool.
Data Retention & Confidentiality
Interaction data submitted through Aquinas AI is retained for a period of 90 days from the date of submission, after which it is deleted in accordance with the University's data management practices.
While interaction data is treated as private under ordinary circumstances, users should be aware that such data may be recoverable and subject to review in connection with a legitimate university investigation, legal proceeding, or other authorized inquiries. Access to retained data for such purposes will be conducted in accordance with applicable university policies and governing law.
Users should not share sensitive or confidential information beyond what is expressly permitted under the Data Security Classification Policy. The University of St. Thomas does not assume responsibility for breaches of privacy or data security resulting from a user's failure to comply with these terms.
This includes, but is not limited to, chat interactions, file uploads, files created, images or media content generated, agents created, agents shared, logging actions.
Aquinas AI and the data generated within the tool is stored in our University of St. Thomas AWS environment.
