Canvas: My Actions

This service is for faculty, staff, and students.
 
UPDATE: The My Actions tool has been removed from Canvas in Fall 2022 but might return in 2023. It remains available in OneStThomas.
 

The My Actions LTI is a tool designed to provide helpful information from within a Canvas course including advisers, their Tommie support team, and clubs.

Finding My Actions in Canvas

The My Actions tool may be found in the sidebar of your course in the Course Navigation assuming your course is supported and has added the tool enabled. Currently supported courses include all FYEX courses.

Using My Actions in Canvas 

Student Support

The first tab includes information on your Tommie support team, faculty adviser(s), and financial adviser. The faculty advisers and financial adviser tabs provide information on your currently assigned advisers including name, office location, and email. The Tommie support team tab includes a series of links related to resources available on campus to help you succeed. Once clicked, you will be redirected to a scheduling page to create an appointment with the resource as well as be provided with information on how to get in further contact with them. This includes links to find tutors related to various fields.

Clubs

The second tab provides information on clubs you're currently registered for in TommieLink as well as their primary contact, phone number, social media, and website. Also, upcoming events for each club will be provided along with start/end dates, location, and a general description of the event. Events can also be added to your calendar by selecting the Add to Calendar button.Add to calendar button 

Holds

The third tab includes information on holds currently applied to your student account as well as a brief description on how to begin resolving the hold along with an associated link.

Troubleshooting

If you're having trouble viewing your My Actions content, you may need to enable cross-site cookies for Canvas. This process is different between each browser, but can generally be found in your browser's settings.
