Print, Scan, & Fax: Scan a document at an MFP

You can scan your documents to your personal OneDrive, a USB flashdrive, or email from any campus multi-functioning printer (MFPs, ie. copier/scanners)

Scan to OneDrive

After the first time you use the "Scan to OneDrive" feature from an MFP, you'll receive an email requesting permission to allow PaperCut to save files to that location. Follow the directions in that email to enable this feature.

  2. If prompted, select your account.
  3. Place your document in the document feeder or on the copier glass.
  4. Select the Scan icon from the home screen.
  5. Select “Scan to OneDrive” or “Scan to OneDrive (OCR)” – Note, OCR stands for “Optical Character Recognition.” OCR attempts to convert an image containing text into a PDF or Word document.
  6. If desired, change the file name or select Settings to choose appropriate options for your scan.
  7. Press Start.
  8. Your document scans.
    1. If scanning from the copier glass, choose Scan More or Send, as needed. Note: for multiple pages, you will need to place the next page on the copier glass before pressing Scan More to avoid duplicate pages.
    2. If scanning from the document feeder, your document will automatically send.
  9. When finished, press the Logout button at the top of the screen.
  10. *If this is your first time using this feature, confirm via email from PaperCut that you authorize it to save files to your OneDrive.
