This service is for faculty, staff, students, and visitors.

Many of the applications and systems that we use everyday in our roles at the University of St. Thomas depend on our browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) running at their best and having certain tools and settings. Browser Check is a helpful tool that can help users of all roles to quickly and easily identify potential obstacles to using some of our University resources.

Navigate to Browser Check (available at www.stthomas.edu/browsercheck)

Browser Check provides links to:

  • Fast.com where you can check your current Internet connection speed.
  • Zoom Test Meeting where you can if your microphone and camera will work in a Zoom meeting.

Browser Check will do the following automatically when you navigate to the page:

  • Provide a pass/fail to your Browser. If you get a Fail result you may need to update your Browser for best results using University systems. KB Article
  • Provide a pass/fail indicating if you have Javascript installed in your browser. If you get a Fail result you may need to install Javascript for best results using University systems. KB Article
  • Provide a pass/fail indicating if you have Cookies enabled in your browser. If you get a Fail result you may need to enable Cookies for best results using University systems. The Tech Desk can assist you with this.
  • Provide a pass/fail indicating if you have Pop-ups enabled in your browser. If you get a Fail result you may need to enable Pop-ups for best results using University systems. KB Article
