Body

This service is for faculty, staff, student.

Starting in 2021, meetings and calls recorded in Microsoft Teams will be saved to OneDrive and SharePoint. Prior to this, these recordings were stored in Microsoft Stream. If you wish to continue publishing your recordings in Microsoft Stream, you can continue to do so by uploading the video files to Stream from OneDrive or SharePoint.

How to Record a Teams Meeting

Go to Microsoft's support page to learn how to record a meeting in Teams in addition to who can record meetings, privacy, and more.

Teams Meeting Recording File Storage

  • Non-Channel meetings will be stored in the personal OneDrive of the individual who clicked the record button. That individual will be able to access the file after the meeting in a special folder labeled “Recordings” at the top of the recorder’s OneDrive.
  • Channel meetings will be stored automatically in that channel's Team Document Library within a folder labeled “Recordings."

Teams Meeting Permissions

  • For Non-Channel meetings: All meeting invitees - except for external users – in non-channel meetings will automatically get a shared link to access the meeting recording. External users will need to be explicitly added to the shared list by the meeting organizer or the person that clicked the record button.
  • For Channel meetings: permissions will be inherited from the owners and members list in the channel.
