How to Access FERPA Training

Directions for accessing the official Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) training for the University of St. Thomas.

Below are the directions for accessing the official FERPA training for the University of St. Thomas.

Accessing FERPA Training

1. Log in to OneStThomas (we recommend using Chrome or Firefox).
2. Click on ‘APPS AND TOOLS’ at the top of the page.
3. Then click the link to ‘Professional Development Portal’. 

 

4. You may be prompted to log in again to launch the training app via Bridge.
5. For faculty and staff, please click on "My Learning" on the top left of the page. For students, who are completing FERPA training for a student worker position, please click on the "Learning Library" tab, search for ‘‘Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Training," and click “ENROLL”.

6. Select ‘Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Training’ from the list of required training options to begin the course. We estimate it takes 15-20 min to complete.

Troubleshooting

Please submit a Data Access & Administration ticket for any issues that you may have in accessing the training.
