Practical Applications for YuJa Panorama’s Alternative Formats

Enhancing Mobile Learning with Audio Podcasts

Students increasingly prefer to learn on the go. Faculty can highlight YuJa Panorama’s audio podcast feature, which converts text-based documents into audio files, enabling students to listen to lecture notes or readings while commuting or exercising. This caters to auditory learners and helps those who find it easier to absorb information through listening.

Supporting Students with Visual Impairments using Braille Formats

With automated Braille conversion, key documents such as course syllabi and reading materials are readily accessible in Braille format. This supports visually impaired students and helps faculty comply with accessibility guidelines, fostering a more inclusive learning environment.

Improving Reading Comprehension with Immersive Reader

The Immersive Reader feature allows students to customize font size, text spacing, and background color to reduce visual stress, while also offering text-to-speech options. This is especially beneficial for students with learning disabilities like dyslexia or those struggling with reading comprehension.

Simplifying Technical Content with OCR and Math Formats

Faculty dealing with technical content can utilize the OCR feature to convert images with text into searchable, screen-reader-friendly documents. For STEM courses, converting complex equations into LaTeX or MathML formats ensures accurate representation and accessibility for all students. *Note: Faculty must enable math formats in their individual courses if desired.*

Multilingual Support through Automated Language Translation

International students or those with diverse language needs benefit from YuJa Panorama’s language translation feature. Faculty can provide course materials in various languages, improving comprehension and inclusivity in diverse classrooms. *Note: Faculty must enable language translation in their individual courses if desired.*
