Body

Overview

Full Course View is a standalone page within ClassFinder that provides an improved, table-based display of course section search results for faculty and authorized staff (primarily department coordinators). In June 2025, ClassFinder Full Course View replaced the older ClassFinder Table View and the legacy Murphy Online Full Course View (retired as part of the Banner 8 → Banner 9 transition).

Who can use it

  • Faculty and designated staff (department coordinators and other authorized personnel).

  • Students do not have access — Full Course View can show invisible sections and other data that should not be visible to student users.

Where to find it

Open: https://classes.aws.stthomas.edu/ust/fullcourse.htm
(If you cannot access the page but believe you should have permission, see Troubleshooting & Support below.)

Key features

1. Shows hidden sections

Full Course View displays all sections that match your search, including invisible sections and DFC sections that are not shown in the student-facing results. (These courses are marked.)

2. Live Banner data

Unlike regular ClassFinder, which shows data that can be as much as twenty-four hours old, Full Course View uses live Banner data, including up-to-the-second enrollment data.

3. A true, copyable table

Full Course View renders results as an actual HTML table (not just visually arranged content). That makes it straightforward to copy & paste into Excel, Word, or other tools for reporting or offline editing — a capability department coordinators have requested for years.

Typical use cases

  • Department coordinators preparing spreadsheets or reports that include invisible/administrative sections.

  • Faculty or staff needing up-to-the-minute enrollment or section metadata for scheduling/administration.

  • Any authorized staff needing a quick, copyable table of search results for use in Excel/Word or internal documentation.

How to copy results into Excel (quick steps)

  1. Load and run your search in Full Course View.

  2. Click-and-drag to select the whole table.

  3. Press Ctrl+C to copy.

  4. Open Excel and paste (Ctrl+V).

Limitations

  • The page is intended for internal administrative use only — it contains sections and data that are not appropriate for student display.

  • Access is restricted to authorized accounts. If you are faculty or an authorized staff member and cannot access the page, see Troubleshooting below.

  • Full Course View replaces the old ClassFinder Table View and the Murphy Online Full Course View. They are no longer available as of June 2025.

Troubleshooting & support

  • If you receive an Access Denied message but believe you should have access, open an ITS Help Desk ticket.

  • This is a typical Access Denied message:

  • If you experience other bugs, you should also open an ITS Help Desk ticket!
  • I guess we're just pretty much recommending that you open a ticket if you have problems.
