Some users may encounter the following error when trying to access Banner Admin forms or Murphy in Google Chrome:
Authentication Failed: Problem in external authentication service.”
Users running the latest versions of Chrome may continue to experience issues until a permanent fix is implemented.
Temporary Workaround for Google Chrome:
To restore access while the issue is being resolved, adjust the following Chrome setting:
- While logged into Google Chrome, enter the following address in the URL bar:
chrome://flags/#local-network-access-check
- From the Local Network Access Checks dropdown menu, change the setting to Disabled.
- Completely close Google Chrome
- Reopen the browser and access Banner Admin again.
