This information is for Salesforce users that may assign Placement Exams for Current Students
This article provides an overview of how department administrators can assign placements exams for current students in Salesforce. Specifically used by Modern and Classical Languages and Chemistry departments when the functionality went live in December 2025.
Salesforce User Assigning a Placement Exams
Within Salesforce users with the Flow User flag and System Permission – Run Flows Permission Set will be able view the Current Student Application query.
The query utilizes a Salesforce flow to query on Banner ID to pull back the Current Undergraduate Student application record to update the exam filter.
Enter Banner ID and select Next
Confirm the correct student and application was found. Use the select box to the left of the record and hit Next.
Next step is to click on the Update Exam Filter link.
This link navigates the user to the Application record and specifically the Generic Filter 6 field to add or remove exam values and Save.
The appropriate exams/widgets will be available for the student within the Admissions Portal.
