Embedding Content on a OneStThomas Page

Learn how to embed multimedia content directly onto a page in OneStThomas.  This guide walks through adding embed code from an online source (i.e. Youtube, SharePoint, etc) into a rich text editor.  Read this knowledge base article on "How to Edit a Page in OneStThomas" to familiarize yourself with editing pages.

Access the CMS:

Start by accessing the Content Management System (CMS) of OneStThomas by clicking on your profile icon and selecting "CMS":

Select the "Content" section (far left-hand navigation).  Using the directory view (middle-column), navigate to your site and expand the Pages repository to view all available webpages. Select the page you want to edit to get started.

Embedding content

To embed multimedia content (i.e. videos, documents, or other interactive content) directly onto a page, you will need to copy and paste embed code directly into the special "Source Code" section in a Rich Text Editor widget.  Start by accessing the "share" option for your web content and copy the "Embed code" in its entirety (include all the code including and between the <iframe> and </iframe> tags:

Open an available rich text editor widget and click on the "Source Code" icon in the content section.

The modal popup window will allow you to edit HTML and add your copied embed code.  Hit "Save" to update the page preview:

Hit the green "Update" button to preview your changes.  Don't forget to hit the green "Publish" button to publish your edits to the page.
