Salesforce Summit Events: Create Registration Flow Button

1. From a specific Summit Event page, select the specific Event Instance you want to work with which will appear to the left side of the screen under Related List Quick Links.

2. On the specific Event Instance record you want to manually add registrations to, click the “Create Registrations” button located at the top right.

3. This will open to a new view that contains a specific set of generalized fields shown below. Some additional information to note:

  • To complete a registration, you must have a first name, last name, and email address.
  • A few options in the major of interest section are not normally available for users to choose from. “Chemistry (9-12)” for example is for Chemistry Education and is not normally selectable.
  • The High School or College field will pre populate with the High School override field from the Event Instance. This can be changed for single registrations if desired.

4. To fill out more than one registration at a time, use the Add button at the bottom left to add additional fields:

Note:  There are no limits to how many registrations can be completed at one time, but it is recommended to complete registrations in sections of 10 records or less to avoid large numbers of registrations being affected by technology, Internet, etc. issues before completing the record creation process.

5. Once registrations are entered, click the Next button on the bottom right.

6. You should see a message confirming that Registration records have been created in a “Started” status.

7. Click the Next button again to move them to a “Registered” status.
