How do I install mobile apps to stay connected to St. Thomas?
A variety of mobile apps are available to help you stay connected to what is happening at the University of St. Thomas. These apps enable you to check email, access files, collaborate with colleagues, attend virtual meetings, view course content, and find student clubs and events.

Before You Begin
Important: You need an active St. Thomas account and access to an iOS or Android device to install these apps.

Stay connected and collaborate from anywhere
These apps help you stay connected and continue collaboration from anywhere.
- Outlook – Check your university email
- OneDrive – Access your personal files
- SharePoint or Microsoft Teams – Access department shared files and news
- Word, Excel, or PowerPoint – Edit documents
- Microsoft Teams – Chat, call, video message, and collaborate. You can make calls to other St. Thomas members through the Teams app and leave voicemail messages without giving out your personal cell phone or home phone number.
- Microsoft Authenticator – Make multi-factor authentication (MFA) approval simpler
Installation: Navigate to your device's app store and search for "Microsoft Office 365" or select the individual app names listed above to download and install.
Virtual meetings and collaboration
- Zoom – Hold virtual meetings or class sessions
- Microsoft Teams – Chat, call, video message, and collaborate
Installation: Navigate to your device's app store and search for "Zoom" or "Microsoft Teams" to download and install.
Get notifications and access course content
Note for faculty: Search your device's app store for the Canvas Teacher app to modify course details.
Find clubs, organizations, and events
Tommie Link is where student clubs and organizations post events and share information about themselves. Use this app to find a club that interests you and discover upcoming events for students.
Installation: Use the links above or navigate to your device's app store and search for "Tommie Link" to download and install.
Troubleshooting
If you experience problems installing or using these apps:
- Confirm you have an active St. Thomas account and valid login credentials.
- Verify your device has sufficient storage space for the app installation.
- Close and reopen the app store or the app itself.
- Check that your device operating system is current and compatible with the app.
- Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
