How to Access FERPA Training (Faculty and Staff)

 

Below are the directions for accessing the official FERPA training for the University of St. Thomas as University faculty or staff.  Students go through a different process in canvas.

Accessing FERPA Training

  1. Log in to OneStThomas (we recommend using Chrome or Firefox).
  2. Click on ‘APPS AND TOOLS’ at the top of the page.
  3. Then click the link to ‘Cornerstone Learning and Performance'

  1. On the landing page, please select the 'Search Training' button

  1. On the next page type "FERPA" into the search bar, and you will see the button display for the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) Training (Accessible Version) and select it to start the training

If you have already completed the training you will see a completed under the training (like the left FERPA in the picture above).

  1. Select the FERPA training that appears, which will take you to a new page. Click the purple Launch button on the right side to get started:

  1. We estimate it takes 20-30 min to complete.

 

Troubleshooting

Please submit a Ask HR ticket for any issues that you may have in accessing the training.
