Release Student Holds through SSB9 Advisor Portal

In this guide, we'll walk you through the simple steps required to release a student's registration hold.

 

Access to Advisee Listing via New Murphy Online: 

  1. Login to New Murphy Online
  2. Find the "Advisor Services" card --> Click on the "Advisee Listing" link

 

Steps to release an Advisee hold(s):

  1. Enter the student's ID or click on the "View My Advisee Listing"
  2. Once in the Student Profile, click on the "Holds:" link on the upper right hand side Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. The hold(s) will display, click the checkbox next to the "Advising Registration Hold" and click the "Release" buttonUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. Enter a comment if needed, otherwise leave it blank and click the "OK" button.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. If the hold was successfully released, you should receive the message "Successfully released the holds."Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

 

If for some reason, you get the following message when you click on the "Holds" link.  This just means the hold is NOT a registration hold and the student should be good to register.
