In this guide, we'll walk you through the simple steps required to view/release a student's registration hold. Please take note that registration holds are usually applied mid-October (during fall term) or mid-March (during spring term).
Access to Advisee Listing via New Murphy Online:
- Login to New Murphy Online
- Find the "Advisor Services" card --> Click on the "Advisee Listing" link
Steps to release an Advisee hold(s):
- Enter the student's ID or click on the "View My Advisee Listing"
- Once in the Student Profile, click on the "Holds:" link on the upper right hand side

- The hold(s) will display, click the checkbox next to the "Advising Registration Hold" and click the "Release" button

- Enter a comment if needed, otherwise leave it blank and click the "OK" button.

- If the hold was successfully released, you should receive the message "Successfully released the holds."

**NOTE: If for some reason, you get the following message "Some holds are sensitive and may not be displayed". This just means the hold is NOT a registration hold and the student should be good to register.
