Familiarize yourself with the new SSB9 Faculty Portal. In this guide, we'll walk you through how to access a Photo Roster for your Class List. Note, please disable pop-up blocker. These steps are done within Chrome. The steps should be similar in Edge, Firefox, or Safari.
We understand your experience with photo roster has changed with New Murphy. Since we are using the product as delivered by the vendor, Ellucian, we will not be re-developing the Class Photo Roster. We have received feedback about the size of the photos and provided it to Ellucian.
As previously communicated, Ellucian—the vendor behind Banner—is requiring all institutions to transition from Banner 8 Self-Service (SSB8) to Banner Self-Service 9. (SSB9) This mandate comes as Ellucian is ending full support for SSB8: the system will move to sustaining support on October 1, 2025. After September 30, 2025, no regulatory updates will be provided, and only limited support for critical vulnerabilities will be available.
Due to this vendor-driven change, all institutions using Banner must adopt Self-Service 9, which includes an updated interface, enhanced features, and improved security.
In response, UST has finalized its transition plans. As of September 1, 2025, the SSB8 Faculty and Advisor portals have been fully discontinued and removed from Classic Murphy.
