O&R Summit Events
Orientation and Registration utilizes a Flow (Orientation_and_Registration_Sign_Up_Summit_Events) to show available instances for incoming students. The Flow brings back appropriate records back based on if the Applicant is FTFY, Transfer or International.
It is important to make sure the Summit Event only has one active Event with Orientation and First Year in the name of the Event, otherwise, it likely will pull the older instance.

Transfer Criteria

International Students do not register for O&R on their own. The Dean of Students office creates the Registration record and just publicizes the date within the flow.
In 2024 and 2025, the biggest differentiation of Instances displaying between a student is if they are an Athlete as opposed to a Non-Athlete.
To determine if the student is an Athlete, the flow looks to the opportunity associated with the app and looks if Athlete fields are populated and not as a Type of Regular.

For the Summit Event Instance, the Flow looks to the Instance Notes field to display Non-Athlete or Athlete sessions for the respective groups. If the Instance Notes field is blank, it will show for both populations.

For the Veteran Session, the Instance will have ORVET in the Instance Short Description.

And the student will need to have a Veteran Benefit Eligible? Field as Yes on the Admissions Application.
