This service is for staff.
Appworx is “Extract, Transform, Load” (“ETL”) software used to summon and schedule the execution of code responsible for moving data into and out of the Banner enterprise resource planning system in an automated fashion.
How to request an Appworx account
If you need an Appworx account, please e-mail your request to techdesk@stthomas.edu. Include a note in the message asking that the ticket to be routed to the Enterprise Application Operations team within ITS. You will login to Appworx using your St. Thomas username and a unique password for the Appworx software.
Training on Appworx
Appworx training is performed peer-to-peer within business units at St. Thomas. Reach out directly to your supervisor for training in your area. If you need additional support, our ITS Enterprise Application team keeps Appworx up and running and should have enough knowledge of the tool to assist as needed.
How to install/upgrade Appworx on your computer
You may need to install or upgrade Appworx software before running the program.
- Go to the Software Center of your PC.
- Use the search bar to find the phrase "
appworx
".
- Double-click on the title containing the phrase "Appworx". It might also be preceded by the phrase "UST" and have a version number in its title -- that's okay.
- (If you do not see it listed here, please send an email to the Tech Desk).
- Click the Install button and follow the prompts.
- (Note: you will know it is successful when the Uninstall button appears).
- Close the Software Center.
- Restart your computer.
Running Appworx after installation
- If you're not on campus, connect to the VPN.
- Go to the start menu (Windows icon) and search for the Appworx software. ???Click the "AppWorx 01 - PROD", "AppWorx 02 - PONE", or "AppWorx 03 - TEST" offering, depending on the environment you'd like to log into, to start running the program.
- (Alternatively, there may be an Appworx icon on your desktop that you can double-click to run the program.)
- Log in with your St. Thomas username (Note: this does not contain the @stthomas.edu) and your Appworx-specific password.
- You will then be able to complete your business processes.
