Canvas: Update Your Course with the New Getting Started Module

If you need assistance with any of the following steps, please schedule a Canvas appointment with an instructional designer through STELAR Bookings.

1. Start by deleting the current Getting Started module pages and the Getting Started module itself.
2. Enter Canvas Commons* by clicking on the Canvas Commons icon in the purple menu at the far left.  
3. Click Filter. 
4. In Filter options, choose Templates for content type. 
5. Scroll down and select University of St. Thomas. 
6. Search for Module 0 (Getting Started) and select this resource.
7. Click on the blue Import/Download button.
8. Select the course that you want to import into.
9. Click Import into Course.
10. You will see a message that the import has started and that it will take a little while to see changes in your course.
