Outlook: How to add and manage Safe Senders

Summary

Use Outlook for Windows or Outlook Web to add to your safe senders list, or manage it afterwards. These setting help you manage what goes to your Junk Mail folder, and what does not.

Body

Add address to the Safe Senders list using Outlook for Windows:

1. Right-click on any message in your Inbox and point to Junk, then to Junk E-mail Options.
2. Here you can configure your junk mail settings. You can add or remove safe senders as well as blocked senders.

In Office 365 or for Outlook for Mac users:

1.  Log into Outlook on the web at https://outlook.office.com/mail/
2.  Click on the gear icon in the upper-right corner of the window, and select View all Outlook Settings.
3.  Select Mail and then Junk Mail.
4.  Here you can add and remove safe senders and domains, as well as blocked senders and domains.

Quickly flag a sender as Junk:

On any version of Outlook, you can quickly flag a message as Junk. This will add the sender to your blocked senders list, and messages from that sender will automatically go to junk in the future.

In Outlook for Windows or Outlook on the Web, you can right-click a message to block the sender or flag it as junk. Outlook for Mac users should review this article from Microsoft about flagging messages as junk.
