This service is for faculty, staff, and students who have access to Salesforce EDA.

An overview of the process in requesting a new Report Type in Salesforce EDA for data reporting or dashboarding needs.

How to Request a New Report Type

  1. Review the already available Report Types in the Data Cookbook to confirm one does not already exists meeting your needs. 
  2. If the available Report Types are still not meeting your needs, you may submit a Reporting request through Tommie Tech Services.
  3. Select "I would like to make a request (e.g., for assistance or access).
  4. Select "New Salesforce Report Type".
  5. Choose the intended audience for the Report Type (e.g. 2-Year, 4-Year, Graduate, Alumni, etc.).
  6. Write out the Salesforce Objects needed in the New Report Type.
  7. Share the Purpose of needing a new Report Type created.
  8. Submit the Request.

The Institutional Data, Analytics & Reporting team (IDAR) will review the request and follow up with any additional questions, approve the request, or suggest a Report Type that may already be available and match your purpose. Any new approved Report Types will be documented in the Data Cookbook.
