St. Thomas requires official Mid-term and Final grades be entered in Murphy Online. However, students feel comfort when their instructors share feedback and grades for individual assignments throughout the semester to gauge their progress. You can leverage Canvas to do this and take advantage of their robust online assignments, quizzes, and grading features.
Canvas's SpeedGrader has multiple features that allow you to provide feedback to your students, such as highlighting, adding text boxes, striking through text, and more. To help, Canvas created many tutorials and we've collected some of the "quick start" tutorials here.
Important note about online grading: You must type a zero for a missing assignment to be reflected in the grade total. If you do not enter a score, then the missing assignment is treated as excused.
