The transition to Banner 9 Self-Service (aka "New Murphy Online") is now complete. Information Technology Services (ITS) has successfully migrated all major functionality. This upgrade provides a fully supported environment, a more modern, intuitive interface, improved accessibility, and enhanced functionality to better support students, faculty, and staff in their daily work. While New Murphy will serve as the primary platform moving forward, Classic Murphy will remain available to support select custom applications that will not be rebuilt in New Murphy. We appreciate the community’s patience and cooperation throughout this transition and remain committed to delivering reliable, secure, and user-friendly systems in support of the University’s mission. If you experience any issues or have questions, please use the Enterprise Resource Planning (Banner) Service Request to open a ticket with ITS - Enterprise Applications Operations team.
Ellucian had announced, Banner 8 Self-Service (SSB8) will transition to sustaining support on October 1, 2025, and to End of Support January 1, 2026. Ellucian has added limited support for critical vulnerabilities only, and regulatory updates will not be delivered after September 30, 2025. For any customers still relying on SSB8, it is critical to finalize transition plans.
