Mass Upload of Final Grades in the SSB9 Faculty Portal

In this guide, we'll walk you through the steps required to upload Students’ final grades.  

 

Access via New Murphy Online: 

  1. Login to New Murphy Online
  2. Find the "Faculty Services" card --> Click on the "Final Grade Entry" link

 

Steps to enter Student Final Grade through SSB9 Faculty Portal:

  1. Click on the course you want to grade
  2. Click on the Wheel on the upper right hand corner, scroll down until you get to “Export Template” and click on “Export Template”.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. Pick the “Excel spreadsheet(.xls)” and click “Export”. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  4. It will default a name of the spreadsheet, but you are welcome to change the name of the file and where to save the file.  Click “Save”.  Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  5. Once it is saved.  Go to the location of where you saved the file and open the file. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  6. Once you open the spreadsheet file, make sure to “enable Editing” and update the Final Grade column with the student’s final grade.  And save the file. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  7. Go back into Murphy Online and the Final Grading portal. And Click the wheel and then scroll down and click “Import”.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  8. The Import Window will display.  Click the “Browse” field. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  9. Find the spreadsheet file you updated the grades in and click “Open”. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  10. Then click on the “Upload” button and then “Continue”. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  11. Once the spreadsheet loads, make sure to check the “My Spreadsheet has a headers.” Option. Then click the “Continue”. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  12. If you did not move the columns when you downloaded the spreadsheet initially, then in the “Map Columns” window, you just click “Continue”.  Otherwise, if you did change the columns, you will have to remap the columns and fields. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  13. After the grades are loaded, it will give you a message on how many records were loaded successfully and unsuccessfully.  If you entered an invalid grade, you will receive a message like the one below.  You will either have to manually enter the grade in the Grading Portal or you will have fix the spreadsheet with a correct grade and re-load the file again.  When you are done looking at the messages on the “Validate” window, click “Continue”. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  14. Click “Finish” on the “Import Complete” window. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  15. Scroll through all the students’ grades and update the grades manually where there were errors. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
