Khanmigo support for Canvas integrations

ITS has made a new integration available in Canvas: Khanmigo

What is Khanmigo? From the experts behind the award wining Khan Academy, Khanmigo is your planning ally and instructional collaborator that makes prep time faster AND better. No need to disrupt your routine—use AI-powered Khanmigo right inside Canvas! Visit the Canvas community for details on the 20+ tools Khanmigo makes available to faculty.

To install Khanmigo:

  1. Go into a Canvas course. We recommend installing Khanmigo in your sandbox course.
  2. Go to Settings > Apps (Legacy)
  3. Click “View App Configurations”.
  4. Click “+ App”.
  5. In “Configuration Type” choose “By Client ID”.
  6. In the Client ID field, enter: 73770000000000378
    1. (That’s “7377, ten zeros, 378”)
  7. Verify that you’re prompted to install the new "Khanmigo Teacher Tools" tool.
  8. Click “Install”.
  9. Refresh your Canvas screen.

To add Khanmigo to your Course Navigation menu:

  1. In course Settings, click on the Navigation tab.
  2. Look for "Khanmigo Teacher Tools" in the list of items (it'll likely be at the very bottom.)
  3. Click the three dots next to Khanmigo Teacher Tools and choose Enable from the pop-up menu.
  4. Drag and drop Khanmigo Teacher Tools where you want it in the course navigation. (Note: This tool is enabled for you. It is invisible to students.)
  5. Scroll back down to Save the changes.

  2. Click on sign up for FREE.
