Student accounts may have various holds. Some affect registration, transcripts, grades, graduation, etc. Registration holds are typically added mid-October (fall) and mid-March (spring). Let’s review them.
How to view your Student Holds:
- Login to Murphy Online
- Find the "Student Registration" card --> Click on the "Student Profile" link
- If you have a hold, there will be a number next to the "Holds:" link in the upper right corner. Click on that link to find more information on that hold

Sensitive Holds:
- If you see a hold that reads "Some holds are sensitive and may not be displayed." This just means the hold is NOT a registration hold and if there are no other holds, you won't be prevented from registering.

Registration Holds:
- If the Hold is a registration hold, you will see the Processes Affected: Registration.

- In this case, your action will be needed in order to remove the hold. Start with contacting the office that put the hold on your account.
Graduation Holds:
- If the Hold is a graduation hold, you will see the Processes Affected: Graduation.

- You will need to take action on this in order to graduate.
Transcript Holds:
- If the Hold is a transcript hold, you will see the Processes Affected: Transcript.

- You will need to take action on this in order to request for a Transcript.
Grade Holds:
- If the Hold is a grade hold, you will see the Processes Affected: Grades.

- You will need to take action on this in order to see your grades.
