Understanding Student Registration Hold

Student accounts may have various holds. Some affect registration, transcripts, grades, graduation, etc. Registration holds are typically added mid-October (fall) and mid-March (spring). Let’s review them.

How to view your Student Holds:

  1. Login to Murphy Online
  2. Find the "Student Registration" card --> Click on the "Student Profile" link
  3. If you have a hold, there will be a number next to the "Holds:" link in the upper right corner.  Click on that link to find more information on that hold Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)

Sensitive Holds:

  1. If you see a hold that reads "Some holds are sensitive and may not be displayed." This just means the hold is NOT a registration hold and if there are no other holds, you won't be prevented from registering. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
