XFINITY on Campus: Getting Started

This service is for residence hall students

XFINITY On Campus is an additional service available only for on-campus resident students to stream Live TV and their favorite movies directly through their laptops and mobile devices.

Students can even record an episode for later viewing and download to their devices to watch on those plane rides back home for the holiday breaks.

Where to view the Channel List

Residential students will have full access to all available channels while they are on campus using the St. Thomas wi-fi networks. A limited selection of channels will be available while using the service from off campus. For a full list of channels, please visit this XFINITY website.

How to login to XFINITY on Demand

On your computer

  1. Open your preferred browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, etc)
  2. Go to xfinityoncampus.com
  3. In the “Search for your school” box type “University of St. Thomas”
  4. You will be taken to the familiar St. Thomas login screen.
  5. Enter your username@stthomas.edu email address (not your vanity email) and your St. Thomas password (same as if you were logging into email or Canvas)
  6. You should be all set!

On a mobile device

  • Available On

  • Directions
  1. Download the Xfinity Stream App from your appropriate app store
  2. Launch the app and choose “Get Started”
  3. Under the blue “Sign In” button, locate Xfinity On Campus students and choose “Sign in Here”
  4. In the “Search for your school” box type “University of St. Thomas”
  5. You will be taken to the familiar St. Thomas login screen.
  6. Enter your username@stthomas.edu email address (not your vanity email) and your St. Thomas password (same as if you were logging into email or Canvas)
  7. You should be all set!
  8. If you are casting from one device to another you would follow the process for that now.

From a Streaming Device/Smart TV

  • App Directions
  1. Download the Xfinity Stream App to your TV or Streaming Device
  2. Launch the app and choose “Get Started”
  3. Under the blue “Sign In” button, locate Xfinity On Campus students and choose “Sign in Here”
  4. In the “Search for your school” box type “University of St. Thomas”
  5. You will be taken to the familiar St. Thomas login screen.
  6. Enter your username@stthomas.edu email address (not your vanity email) and your St. Thomas password (same as if you were logging into email or Canvas)
  7. You should be all set!
  8. If you are casting from one device to another you would follow the process for that now.

Connecting your Smart TV to the UST network

  1. Gather your TVs MAC address (probably in the settings menu for the TV, for more info check the manual or manufacturer FAQ for your TV)
  2. In an internet browser, go to the the UST MyDevices Portal
    1. Enter the MAC address for the TV, and any other requested information. 
    2. When the device says status "pending" then it is successfully registered
  3. Connect the TV to WiFi on the UST_Open network (probably in the settings menu for the TV, for more info check the manual or manufacturer FAQ for your TV)
