Badging: Self-Enroll or Un-Enroll from a Canvas Site

Body

Our St. Thomas Canvas Credential digital badges are anchored in Canvas (LMS) courses. Most of our digital badges are of the self-enroll type. This article explains how to self-enroll in a Canvas Badging course and how to un-enroll from a Canvas badging course that you were manually added to. For more information about badging visit the internal One.St.Thomas Badging site.

How to Self-Enroll in a Badge

To self-enroll in the badge, check out the Current Badge Offerings available on the One St.Thomas badging site or use a self-enroll link that is offered on a OneStThomas website, article, or from someone at St. Thomas letting you know about this self-enroll badge course.

  • Once you identify the badge you want to earn, click the self-enroll link listed at the bottom of the badge description. This link will take you to the Canvas course associated with the badge.

  • Note: If you are having trouble with the self-enroll link, try copying and pasting the link in a new browser tab or new window.

How to Un-Enroll

You can only un-enroll from courses that you self-enrolled in. You cannot un-enroll from courses that you were automatically fed into (such as courses for academic credit).

  • In the sidebar on the right side of your screen, select Drop this Course.
