This service is for faculty, staff, and students.
The instructions below describe how to use the PaperCut Print Deploy app to connect to a network printer for printing from a macOS computer.
- University Leased Mac Computers: The PaperCut Print Deploy app is automatically installed on all St. Thomas Macs. If you do not see the Print Deploy app on your computer, check the Self Service app.
- Personally Owned Mac Computers: The PaperCut Print Deploy app must first be downloaded and installed on your device.
- You will also need the PCClient app installed.
- Download “PaperCut-Mac” (Hint: After following the link, click the Download button in the toolbar at the top of the page.)
- Double-click the .zip file to extract the "PaperCut-Mac.pkg" file.
- Double-click the PaperCut-Mac.pkg file and follow the prompts.
- Launch the "PCClient" app from your Applications folder to launch PaperCut. You may also add "PCClient" to your Login Items in Settings if you wish to have PaperCut automatically start when you login.
Please note: Printing directly to copiers/MFPs from personally-owned Mac computers is not currently working via Print Deploy. In the meantime, to print to a copier/MFP please use a FollowMe queue or print from another device. We are currently working on a solution.
