Body
This service is for faculty, staff, students, and visitors.
eduroam (education roaming) is a secure service that allows students, faculty, and staff to obtain internet connectivity when visiting other participating institutions across the U.S. and around the globe.
NOTE: St. Thomas members are encouraged to continue using the UST wi-fi network while they are on the St. Thomas campus for full access to university resources through an encrypted connection.
How to login to eduroam
Login for St. Thomas Members |
Login for Visitors to Campus |
When a St. Thomas member visits another eduroam participating university (eg. University of Minnesota, MIT, etc.), they will be able to login to that campus' eduroam wi-fi network.
To login, use your full St. Thomas account credentials - aka. username@stthomas.edu and your associated password. Note: If St. Thomas members do not regularly visit other institutions, please use the UST network while on campus instead of eduroam.
|
Visitors to St. Thomas who have eduroam accounts with their home universities can access our campus wi-fi through an encyrpted connection. While the current UST-Open network provides all visitors to campus with internet access, the eduroam network will offer an encrypted wi-fi connection to those in the eduroam consortium without having to re-authenticate every 24 hours.
To login, visitors with eduroam accounts can simply select the eduroam wi-fi network and login using their username and password from their home institution.
