On-Demand Technical support is available through the Tech Desk at times and methods outlined here.
Note - Tech Desk can not reset the email or password for proxies or authorized users. In cases this is necessary, proxies/authorized users may be referred to their student to request they be re-set up as a proxy or authorized user. We are available to the student to assist with this if needed.

Proxy Access
The most common reasons a proxy would want to have access is for a student’s financial aid info, schedule, grades, etc.
Creating a proxy (Student):
- To create a proxy, the student (not the proxy) will need to sign into Murphy Online and add them.
- When in Murphy Online, there is a card called Proxy Management. The Proxy Management card should contain two options: Proxy Management and Proxy Access Information. This is what the card will look like:

- The student will need to click Proxy Management, and a new tab will open. Click “Add New” to create a new proxy:

- Enter the required information, such as name, email, and relationship. There is only one option for Relationship drop down, so pick the “Proxy” from the drop down.

- A Start and Stop Date will be filled in for you. If you want to change these dates, feel free to change them.
- The Additional Information section is optional.
- Scroll down and select the Authorizations you would like your proxy to have.

- Press the “Submit” button.
- You should receive a message saying, “The proxy has been successfully created.”
- You (the student) and proxy in question will receive multiple emails: a confirmation email that a proxy was added, a proxy login link, and a proxy access code for the initial proxy login. From here, the proxy in question will activate their account.
Using Proxy Access (Parent or Guardian):
Claiming account: The proxy in question will need to claim their account via two emails sent to their email account entered by their Student in Student Step 4 above.
- The proxy must click the temporary link in the email (from sender "regproxyaccess@stthomas.edu" with subject "University of St.
Thomas Proxy Access Login") to activate the proxy account. This URL will only be used once and is active for a limited time.
- After clicking the link and entering the proxy's email address, enter the temporary access code (from sender "regproxyaccess@stthomas.edu" with subject "University of St.
Thomas Proxy Confirmation Access Code"). Note, the temporary link and the temporary access code will come in two separate emails for security reasons.
- The proxy will be prompted to create a password once they activate their account. Field 1: Enter the same access code you used to sign in. Field 2: Create a personal password for the proxy account. Field 3: Re-enter the password to confirm. Then press the Submit button.

- After successfully creating a password, you can access the University of St. Thomas Murphy Online Proxy Login (steps 5-7).
Log-in into the University of St. Thomas Murphy Online Proxy System:
-
Access University of St. Thomas Murphy Online Proxy System via the following URL: https://banner.ampr.stthomas.edu/StudentSelfService/login/auth
-
Enter your username (your username is the email address that was registered by your student for proxy access) and password. Note: Each time you log in with your username/password, you will be prompted to enter a one-time proxy (OTP) code. The OTP will come in an email (from sender "regproxyaccess@stthomas.edu" with subject "University of St. Thomas One-Time-Proxy code").
-
A proxy cannot view any information until the student has granted access. As noted in Student Step 7 above, the student must specify what information the proxy is allowed to see. This is done in Murphy Online in the Proxy Management tab. If the Student has already done this, you will be able to access your Student’s information by clicking on options in the drop down.

Reset or Change Your Proxy Password:
- (Parent) If you are already logged in, you can reset your password in the Proxy Personal Information section. Once you are in the Proxy Personal Information section, this is where you can reset your password:

- (Parent) If you are not already logged in, you can also change your password from the Proxy login page, enter the email address your student assigned as a proxy on the email address line and then click “Forgot Password”.
- (Student) If you would like your student to request an email reset for you as the proxy, this is how they can do it:
- Go to the Proxy Management tab and click on the Edit button for the proxy who should receive the emails:

- Click on the Reset Password button:

- This action will send two emails to the proxy: one with the website access link and another with a new password for signing in.
- (Parent) Go to your inbox and look for a "Proxy Password Reset Request" email from regproxyaccess@stthomas.edu, and click on the provided link.
- (Parent) There will also be another email with the subject, “Proxy Password Reset Confirmation.” There will be a temporary password for you to use in the previous email’s provided link.
- (Parent) Use that temporary password to reset your password.
- (Parent) You may need to use a private/incognito browser or a different browser if your password is autofilling.
Troubleshooting Proxy Access
- Other information on proxies can be found at https://www.stthomas.edu/registrar/proxy/proxyinformation/ or Student Data & Registrar - Home | Student Data & Registrar (stthomas.edu)
- Other miscellaneous issues may be resolved by troubleshooting your browser
- Be sure you are going to the proxy login page.
- Ensure that your browser is up to date
- Clear your cookies and cache in your browser
- Try a private/incognito window
- Try another Browser. Good options are Firefox, Chrome, or New Edge
- Try restarting your device
- Avoid using Safari as we have found that there are inconsistencies in how Murphy online operated in Safari
Authorized Users for E-bill
In order to add an authorized user, the student will need to sign in to the E-bill system through Murphy, under the personal information tab.
Both the student and the authorized user will need to allow pop-ups on their browser How-To KB Article, and/or add secure.touchnet.com to the allowed sites for pop-ups.
Creating an Authorized User (Student)
- To create a authorized user, the student (not the authorized user) will need to sign into Murphy Online and add them.
- When in Murphy Online, there is a card called eBill & ePay. The eBill & ePay card should have an option called Business Office eBill & ePay. This is what the card will look like:

- After clicking on Business Office eBill & ePay, a new tab will open in your browser and bring you to https://secure.touchnet.com/C20237_tsa/web/welcome.jsp and automatically log you in.
- if you run into an issue at this step, your browser is probably blocking the site from opening and you should be able to resolve the issue by allowing pop-ups on your browser (How-To KB Article) and/or by adding secure.touchnet.com to the allowed sites for pop-ups.

- On the right side of the screen you will see a list of options, you will want to select authorized users and then the add authorized user tab.
- If you have previously added an authorized user they will be listed on the screen you arrived at on the authorized users tab

- Enter the email address of the authorized user and select your preferences for what you want that user to be able to see from billing statement, payment history, and account activity.

- Click continue and you will be presented with the "Agreement to Add Authorized User". Read, click the box next to "I Agree" and then click the continue button to proceed.

- You will arrive back at the authorized users page and be provided the message "Thank you. We have sent an e-mail to "the email you entered for your authorized user" with instructions on how to log in and view your billing information. This person will log in using the e-mail address you provided."
- The student will also receive an email confirmation at their St. Thomas email that indicates that an authorized user has been added to their account
The Authorized User (Parent or Guardian)
- The authorized user will receive 2 emails from USTeBill@stthomas.edu to the email address entered by the student.
- The one with subject line "UST - You have been granted access" will notify you that you have been granted access, the student's name, and that your email address is your username.
- The one with the subject line "Your UST Authorized User Access Information" will have links to the authorized user login portal and will provide your temporary password to be used for your first time login.
- The temporary password is only valid for 24 hours. If you do not use it to log in and set a password within 24 hours you can try following the password reset process to get a new password.
- If you are not able to reset your password or do not receive the reset email you will likely need the student to verify for you that you are using the correct registered email. If you are using the correct registered email, you may need the student to delete you as an authorized user and re-add you.
- Highlight the temporary password in the "Your UST Authorized User Access Information" email and copy it to your clipboard (you will need the password in the next step and copying it and pasting it is easier than trying to read and type it)
- Click the Authorized User portal link in the "Your UST Authorized User Access Information" email (you could also click the link in this step of the direction)
- You will arrive at the Authorized User log in page. In the email field enter the full email that the student registered for you and paste the temporary password you copied from your email into the password field.

- You will arrive at the Authorized User Profile Setup page where you will need to populate the fields for first name and last name and choose a new password that meets the indicated password requirements.

- You should now be successfully at the My Profile page for your authorized user account. In the upper right corner you can view the indicator that you are logged in and viewing student account data for your student. You can use the tabs at the top under the St. Thomas logo for navigating the information and and actions available to you.
- For additional questions about using the site after you are logged in, please reach out to the Business Office | University of St. Thomas - Minnesota
