Login to Salesforce as a Student Worker (XST Accounts)

Due to the sensitive data stored in Salesforce, student workers who need access to the Salesforce system will be required to use XST Accounts and authenticate regularly using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

1. Setup MFA for XST Account

Before logging into Salesforce initially, you need to set up MFA for your XST account. If you have setup MFA for your XST account already, then skip to step 2 (Salesforce Login)

1. Log into a campus computer in your student work area with your XST account.
2. Open a Chrome browser window in incognito mode by right clicking on the Chrome icon and selecting “New Incognito Window”.
3. Enter your XST username and password.
4. Follow the steps to complete the MFA process (please select the Authenticator app for the most efficient method of using MFA).
5. Close the browser window.

2. Salesforce Login

1. Open a Chrome browser window in incognito mode by right clicking on the Chrome icon and selecting “New Incognito Window”.
   1. Alternatively, you can use a different browser where you haven’t already authenticated with your non-XST account (if you use chrome, use firefox or vice versa). The system will try and log you in with your student account if it knows it, which will cause an error. Cleaning out your history and cache will also solve this problem.
2. Navigate to the OneStThomas Enterprise Apps page here: https://one.stthomas.edu/sites/its/SitePage/123374/login-to-enterprise-systems, then choose Salesforce - EDA Prod. 
3. Choose the option 'Log In with St. Thomas adfs’, which will redirect you to the University of St. Thomas Single Sign-On page.
4. Enter your XST's University of St. Thomas username and 15 digit password to log in.
5. Approve the MFA login message on your phone, as you set up in step one.
6. Once you have done this, the system should remember your choice and redirect you to the St. Thomas adfs log in page automatically in the future.
