Constituent Relationship Management (Salesforce)

This service is available for faculty and staff.

Salesforce is a customer relationship management (CRM) solution. It brings together information from prospective students through their journey as alumni. This gives the university a single, shared view of a student's experiences, interests, and involvement during their time at St. Thomas to better serve and engage with our community. In addition to students and alumni, Salesforce also centralizes data as it pertains to St. Thomas staff and faculty.

Examples of services that Salesforce helps support:

  • Alumni Directory, donor management, and engagement
  • Admission and retention
  • Enrollment applications
  • Scholarship applications
  • Event management
  • Marketing communication (Marketing Cloud and SMS texting)
  • Individual appointment scheduling (ScheduleOnce)
  • Business process Automation
  • and more

Some costs may be associated with software licensing and potential application costs.

Getting Started

Staff who need to get into the administrative side of the platform should login via Salesforce from the Apps and Tools menu in OneStThomas.

Single sign on and multi-factor authentication are used when logging into the system. In addition, student workers and some profiles may have an IP range limit or work day limit for accessing the system. Student workers should make sure to log in with their XST accounts.
