The Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Application can be used to install and update Creative Cloud applications which are licensed through a Named subscription. It can also be used to install 7 days trial versions of all Creative Cloud applications.

How to Install Adobe Applications on St. Thomas computers
1. Install Adobe Creative Cloud on St. Thomas computers
The Creative Cloud Desktop Application can be installed by any person logged into any computer that is owned and managed by St. Thomas. Learn how to install software via the Self Service app on your St. Thomas Mac or the Software Center on your St. Thomas Windows PC.
2. Install an individual Adobe app
Once the Creative Cloud Desktop Application is installed, you can install the individual applications that you are licensed for.
On a Mac
- From the menu bar at the top of your desktop, choose Go and then select Applications.
- Open the Adobe Creative Cloud folder and then the Adobe Creative Cloud application.
- Sign in with your Adobe or Federated ID.
- Faculty, Staff and Student employees will have an Adobe ID; Students taking a course which includes a Creative Cloud subscription will use a Federated ID.
- Install or update the software included in your subscription or install any Creative Cloud application for a 7-day trial.
On a Windows PC
- Go to the Start menu and search for "Adobe Creative Cloud" and click on it to launch.
- Sign in with your Adobe or Federated ID.
- Faculty, Staff and Student employees will have an Adobe ID; Students taking a course which includes a Creative Cloud subscription will use a Federated ID.
- Install or update the software included in your subscription or install any Creative Cloud application for a 7-day trial.
How to use Adobe applications on personally owned computers

What to do if your subscription expires
If you believe that you have a current subscription, first try to log out of the Creative Cloud Desktop Application and then log back in. Adobe regularly requires users to re-accept the End User Licensing Agreement by forcing them to re-authenticate. If that doesn't work, contact the Tech Desk and the Software Purchasing and Licensing team will verify your subscription status with Adobe.
Faculty, staff and student employee Adobe subscriptions need to be renewed yearly. Users with these subscriptions will be contacted directly prior to the expiration date to approve a 1 year renewal.
- Adobe Acrobat subscriptions expire yearly on July 10.
- Adobe Creative Cloud subscriptions expire yearly on Oct 15.
- This includes subscriptions for individual Creative Cloud applications such as Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
Note: Adobe Creative Cloud Student subscriptions assigned through registration in a course will expire the day after grades are due for the semester.
