Following completion of the Technical Intake Request, an Initial Request Review is conducted to determine the next step in the Technology Intake Process (TIP) workflow.
Overview
Representatives from ITS Business Relationship Management (BRM), Implementation, Software, and Security teams review the request within ten business days of submission to determine there is enough information provided and decide whether a Simple RFP or a TIP Business Case Review is appropriate as the next step.

Details
- Within a ten business days of submitting the Technology Intake request, an Initial Review meeting will be scheduled with the ITS BRM, Implementation, Services, and Security Teams to determine the future path for the request through the TIP workflow. Possible paths include:
- Simple Purchase - The request is a “plug and play” solution that has little to no ITS implementation or operational support needs, is under the $10,000 bidding requirement, and is of minimal risk or complexity.
- TIP Business Case Review - The ITS Initial Review Team has reviewed the request and determined that it is ready for a TIP Business Case Review.
- The decision from the Initial Review meeting is then logged within the Tech Intake Process request form and next steps are initiated based on the decision.
- If the decision is to proceed to a business case review or ask for specific Subject Matter Expert (SME) input, the ITS BRM will initiate SME feedback collection by selecting Yes for a business case review.
