Website URL Redirects and Link Shortening

ITS offers two options for creating user-friendly URLs that are short, branded, and redirect to another website.

1. Link Shortener tool: It is perfect for having a St. Thomas branded link to an online resume, bio page, books and publications, a short address to a OneStThomas department site, etc. (For example: link.stthomas.edu/its goes to our ITS department's OneStThomas website that would otherwise appear as a long URL of https://one.stthomas.edu/sites/its/SitePage/26358/its-home) 
    
2. Vanity website: This can be requested for public university websites under special circumstances such as a print piece, large scale marketing campaign, or a special site. (For example: www.stthomas.edu/tommiegiveday redirects to https://give.stthomas.edu/give/tommie-give-day/index.html)

Getting Started

All faculty and staff have access to the Link Shortener tool by logging in with your username and password at link.stthomas.edu.
