St. Thomas members have access to use Microsoft Office 365's PowerPoint app for free on up to 5 personal devices.

Access PowerPoint from any web browser directly through Office 365 or by installing the Microsoft Office suite on your personal device

Branded PowerPoint Templates

Use the St. Thomas Branded PowerPoint slides designed by the MIC department for a cohesive experience with the university colors, logos, and templates already pre-installed and ready to download. 

Free Templates, Charts and Diagrams from Microsoft

Because of your Microsoft Office 365 subscription, you have access to a to of free templates from Microsoft. This includes presentation templates, charts for various needs, diagrams, and smart art. You can use, re-use, and customize these templates to make your presentation more interesting without having to use drawing and design tools.

From PowerPoint on Windows, go to File > New to search and browse through these templates. You can also browse all the available templates here after signing into your St. Thomas account.

**Please note, the "Premium Templates" site from Microsoft also includes templates for Word and Excel files.

Accessible PowerPoint Slides

Everyone who creates and edits files at St. Thomas should ensure their content is accessible. You can learn more about why accessibility is important on the Digital Accessibility Introduction page, and read the article about making all of your documents more accessible.

This article from Microsoft explains how you can go about ensure your PowerPoint slides are accessible. It covers best practices ranging from alternative text on images, increasing font size, color contrast recommendations, and more. PowerPoint even includes a built in "Accessibility Checker" you can use to check for accessibility issues.
