This service is for faculty and staff.
This article covers how to view and restore old content in your Canvas course and see new features by accessing the beta and test environments.
Because the beta and test servers are snapshots from a previous point in time, they can be useful in recovering content that no longer appears in the production environment. However, there are other options for undeleting content that usually work better; see the Tommie Tech article Canvas: How to Recover Deleted Items
If you need immediate support contact the Canvas Support chat or phone line by opening Canvas and clicking on the "Help" button in the left navigation bar. If Canvas support cannot resolve your issue submit a ticket to the St. Thomas Canvas team using the form: Learning Management Systems (Canvas)
How to Access the Beta and Test Environments
The beta and test environments in Canvas allow you to explore new features before they reach production and test course content using your real data without messing up your live production environment. They also provide a way to view recently deleted content. To learn how to use the beta and test environments read the Canvas articles below
How do I access the Canvas beta environment as an instructor? - https://stthomas.beta.instructure.com

Remember, beta environments will reset every week on Saturday and the test environment is reset every third Saturday of the month. Instructure maintains a page of the beta and test update schedule. Any content created in this environment will be deleted after these dates.
If you want to keep any course content created or saved in your beta or test environment, you can export your course using the beta and test environments and re-import the specific content into your live course. To learn how to export course content and import it into your course read the Canvas articles below.
