Benefits of Tommie Tech Services
Tommie Tech Services replaced our previous ticketing system and brings with it more robust features as an IT Service Management tool.
The new system includes exciting benefits for the St. Thomas community like:
- Improved Searchability: We are building all of our detailed step-by-step instructions in the new Knowledge Base. These articles will surface in search results and provide valuable information about the technology tools we use at St. Thomas.
- Efficient Request Process: Instead of sending a generic email to the Tech Desk, you’ll be able to leverage the new Service Catalog to find what you need and expedite your request directly to the teams responsible for that service.
- Report Incidents (ie. problems and issues) that impact your ability to work and/or use a technology system.
- Transparency of Status: Check on the status of your existing requests and reported issues any time. Each interaction with the Tech Desk results in the creation of a "ticket" that allows you to receive updates from the tech teams and communicate additional information with them.
