Hardware Repair

This service is available for faculty and staff.

ITS facilitates the repair and maintenance of all leased PC and Apple computers. If a device sustains physical damage or experiences a hardware-related issue, ITS will work with our vendors to return it to acceptable working condition. Hardware repairs are often covered under warranty; however, departments may be charged for accidental damage (such as liquid spills or drops). In the event that the cost for a repair exceeds the lease buy-out value of the device, departments will be charged the buy-out value, with ITS picking up the remainder of the cost.

All leased hardware is expected to be returned in good physical condition to our leasing company. If a computer is not returned in acceptable condition, a department may be charged the lease buy-out value of the device.

Getting Started

Purchased devices in need of repair are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Depending on availability of parts and warranty coverage, ITS cannot always offer repair for purchased devices. Use the request service button to begin this process.
