Video is a proven and effective way to increase student engagement and help students learn and retain information. STELAR members can provide guidance and tools for media production that enable instructors to develop audio and video presentations.

Faculty members can easily record, store and share video lectures, screencasts and narrated slide presentations.

Students can also create videos in their assignments and presentations.

Several options are available for recording professional presentations that include the following:

  • Studio recording using a variety of formats: Stand-up lecture, interview-style, Smart board, Lightboard and green screen (faculty only)
  • Independent recording tools for lecture capture, screencasts and narrated slide presentations
  • Interactive discussion tools to increase student engagement
  • Integration of video in Canvas

There are also media production tools that include basic editing and Close-caption capabilities for accessibility.
